Using Theology to Teach Technology –

Outreach Through Community Based Technology Centers

Ms. Clemmie C. Perry is the founder and visionary of a faith-based computer technology program in Miami, Florida called: TECHS (Teaching Each Christian How to Use Systems).  The TECHS program provides computer education and training to children, adults and senior citizens in underserved communities to help bridge the digital divide. Ms. Perry has also recently authored a Christian Computer Workbook, “Using Theology to Teach Technology”.  This creative and unique concept uses a Bible-based approach to teach computer skills.  This self-paced instructional tool combines Biblical scriptures, information from the Old and New Testaments and computer processes to make learning computer skills a non-threatening, peaceful experience and accelerates the learning process.

In 1997 Morris discovered Logos Bible Software and electronic books. This find so revolutionized his study of the Word that he began a ministry (Morris Proctor Seminars) to equip pastors, professors, and students to study with electronic books. As the authorized trainer for Logos Research Systems, Morris and his wife, Cindy, devote much of their ministry presenting seminars around the world, training people to use Bible software.

Morris has trained numerous Christian leaders including Jack Hayford, Joseph, Garlington, Bruce Wilkinson, Peter Lowe, and Chip Ingram. Morris, Cindy, and their children reside in Murfreesboro, TN.
